Geist Buster Rolls to Victory at Beulah

Wilhelm Genn’s Geist Buster settled just behind the early leaders
before swinging into action and drawing off to victory in the
Saturday feature. Six high-class claimers battled as Blazing Forest
dashed to the front with The Rejected Stone tracking closely from
second. At the top of the lane Blazing Forest faded and Geist Buster
surged to the lead. Clearing off to a 1 ½ length win Geist Buster
covered the 5 ½ furlongs over the fast track in 1:08 3/5.
Ridden by Marco Ccamaque for trainer Ivan Vazquez, Geist Buster paid
$8.80, $4.40 and $3.00. The Rejected Stone dueled gamely for second
and returned $4.80 and $3.00. Crafty Jay closed well for third and
paid his backers $3.20.

Gins Dawn Surprize Gets Dream Trip in Feature

Malcolm Grove and Michael Lynch’s Gins Dawn Surprize used a
rail-skimming ride to his advantage to win at Beulah Park on Friday.
Eight allowance runners battled as Whitey’s Alphastar and Instant
Winner dueled for the early lead. Midway down the backstretch Gins
Dawn Surprize moved in tandem with Medici and Brandon’s Secret to
overhaul the front runners. With less than 200 yards to run Gins
Dawn Surprize grabbed the lead and drew away comfortably. Winning by
2 ½ lengths Gins Dawn Surprize covered the mile over the fast track
in 1:46 2/5.
Ridden by Joseph Sanchez for trainer Cynthia Maes, Gins Dawn
Surprize returned $15.60, $5.80 and $3.20. Brandon’s Secret stalked
the pace to finish second and paid $3.20 and $2.40. Medici closed
well but faded back to third and returned his backers $2.60.

Patricia Ames Raley’s City Rapid battled through an intense speed duel
and powered clear of his opponents to win the Wednesday feature at
Beulah Park. Six classy claimers clashed as City Rapid vied with
Dash of Fame for early supremacy. At the top of the lane Dash for
Fame took command before City Rapid stormed back to take over and
never looked back. Drawing off to a 3 ¼ length victory, City Rapid
covered the six furlongs over the fast track in 1:13 3/5.
Ridden by Yuri Yaranga for trainer Jeff Scott Raley, City Rapid
returned $4.20, $2.40 and $2.40 as the wagering favorite. Gold Opera
stalked the pacesetter to finish second and paid $3.20 and $2.60.
Dash of Fame faded to third and had a show payoff of $6.00.

Owner-trainer Larry Eilers’ Alexis’ Star settled near the middle of
the pack before darting to the front to win at Beulah Park on
Tuesday. Six claiming fillies and mares dueled as Sassyclassygirl
took the lead through the first furlong. Moving around the turn
Alexis’ Star accelerated and took charge at the top of the lane.
Drawing off to a 5 ¾ victory, Alexis’ Star covered the 5 ½ furlongs
over the fast track in 1:09 1/5.
Ridden by Yuri Yaranga, Alexis’ Star returned $4.00, $3.20 and $2.60
as the wagering favorite. She Run closed well for second and paid
$4.20 and $2.60. Dorothy’s It pressed the pace before fading to
third and had a payoff of $2.80.

edge out heavy favorite Clever Dude in the final strides to win the
Monday feature at Beulah Park. Six allowance runners battled as
Certified Fact and Locker dueled for the early lead. Midway down the
backstretch Locker dispatched of Certified Fact only to be
confronted by Clever Dude with four furlongs to run. Edging away to
win by a head, Locker covered the one mile over the fast track in
1:42 1/5.
Ridden by Marco Ccamaque for trainer Nancy Thornton, Locker paid
$12.00, $3.40 and $2.60. Clever Dude settled for second and returned
$2.20 and $2.10. Win N Grin stalked the pace to finish third and
paid his backers $3.40.
