Twilight Hunter Determined In Victory At Beulah

Twilight Hunter made good use of his tactical speed to win the featured race
at Beulah Park on Saturday. Eight classy Ohio-bred claimers battled as Here
Comes Bragg dashed to the front with Twilight Hunter in close company to his
outside. Swinging into the lane, Here Comes Bragg tried to edge away but
Twilight Hunter slowly cut into his lead and forged by at the finish line.
Winning by a nose, Twilight Hunter ran the six furlongs over the muddy track
in 1:11 4/5.
Ridden by Ivan Gonzalez
for trainer Robert Cline, Twilight Hunter paid $10.40, $3.80 and $2.60. Here
Comes Bragg gave way to second and returned $3.20 and $2.60. Wedonit
finished third and had a payoff of $3.00.

Appygolucky Sharp In Feature Race Victory

Lawson’s Appygolucky used his tactical speed to an advantage to win the
Wednesday feature at Beulah Park. Seven classy claimers dueled as Dance
Seeker and Jessamine Jake disputed the early lead. Settled just behind the
leaders in his customary spot, Appygolucky swung into action with 3 furlongs
to run and collared the leaders at the top of the lane. Pulling away to a
1-1/4-length victory, Appygolucky navigated the six furlongs over the muddy
track in 1:11 4/5.
Piloted to victory by
Edgar Paucar, Beulah Park’s leading jockey, Appygolucky paid $5.20, $3.40
and $2.40 as the wagering favorite. Jessamine Jake held gamely to second and
returned $5.40 and $2.80. Longstreet closed well for third and had a show
payoff of $2.40.

"Dr." Has Winning Prescription For Victory

Gertesien's Dr. E. Claire stalked fast early fractions before taking charge
for the victory in Tuesday's featured race from Beulah Park. Six allowance
runners dueled through the raindrops as Upward Bound and One Way Out battled
side-by-side down the backstretch. Biding his time behind the leaders, Dr.
E. Claire passed the leaders with less than a four furlongs to run and drew
off to a six-length win. The running time for the 1 Mile over the fast track
was 1:40.
Ridden by Beulah Park's
leading jockey Edgar Paucar, Dr. E. Claire returned $6.00, $3.80 and $2.40.
Two Rows of Gold closed strongly for second and paid $5.60 and $3.00. Upward
Bound faded to third and returned his backer $2.20 as the wagering favorite.
