Win Game in Beulah Feature

Ronal Dewolf’s Noon Win
regained her winning form by edging out heavy favorite Just Michel to be
victorious in the Saturday feature from Beulah Park. Eight Ohio bred fillies
and mares scurried over the muddy track with Kristans Afleet and Seeking the
Honey dueling on the lead. At the top of lane Noon Win sprung into action
and took the lead with 100 yards to travel. Holding on to win by a nose,
Noon Win raced the five and one half furlongs in 1:05 2/5 seconds.
Ridden by Ernesto Oro for
trainer Joe Martin, Noon Win returned $11.00, $4.60 and $3.60. Just Michel
rallied strong for second and paid $2.80 and $2.20. Fabulosity finished
third and had a payoff of $3.20.
Live racing returns to
Beulah Park on Monday with nine live races. Monday’s feature is the trials
for the All American Quarter Horse Congress’s Derby, Maturity and Futurity. First post
time is 1:15 p.m.
'Grapes' in Season at Beulah Park

Thistledown invaders
continue to take to the Beulah surface as Jacques Politi Racing, Inc.’s Lac
Grape dueled with the early leaders before bulling past to when the Friday
feature. Nine Ohio bred allowance runners dashed as Noble Cup and Lac Grape
went head to head on the front-end. At the top of the stretch Lac Grape put
his head in front and battled with Noble Cup until the final 70 yards.
Edging away to a 2-1/2-length win, Lac Grape traveled the six furlongs over
the sloppy surface in 1:12 4/5.
Ridden by Edgar Paucar for
trainer Bart Barnes, Lac Grape paid $9.20, $4.00 and $3.20. Noble Cup held
strongly to second and returned $3.40 and $2.80. Cuddlebrink stalked the
pace and finished third to pay $9.80.

Mize Impressive In Featured Race Victory

My Way Stable’s Mize settled
comfortably behind the early leader before dashing by them to win the
featured race at Beulah Park on Thursday. Nine top-notch claimers dueled
with Rollin Me Out, Shadowsoncanvas and Elite Guard battling on the lead.
Moving for home Mize began to stoke up a rally and overtook the leaders with
150 yards to run. Drawing off to a 4-1/2-length victory, Mize covered the
six furlongs over the fast track in 1:12 2/5.
Ridden by Paul Melancon for
conditioner Rinzy Nocero, Mize paid $18.40, $7.80 and $5.40 pulling the mild
upset. King of Nasty closed strongly for second and returned $4.80 and
$3.40. Crackerbox Palace stalked the leaders for third and had a payoff of
$5.40.

'Eyes' Silences All Critics in Beulah Feature

Owner/trainer Joe Faulkner’s
Eyes of the Critic made his Beulah Park debut a victorious one by striding
away strongly in leg 1 of the Speed Challenge Sprint Series on Wednesday.
Eight classy claimers battled with Truly Honored and Eyes of the Critic
squaring off for the lead. Moving into the turn Eyes of the Critic took hold
of the lead and cleared off to a 7 ¼-length win. The running time for the
six furlongs was 1:11 2/5.
The Speed Challenge Sprint
Series is a set of four races ran at Beulah Park during the Fall meet. Each
leg shortens in distance from six furlongs to four and one half furlongs.
Leg two will be contested on October 25, 2005 at the distance of five and
one half furlongs.
Ridden by Luis Martinez,
Jr., Eyes of the Critic paid $6.60, $3.80 and $2.80 as the slight wagering
favorite. Citidelleno stalked the leaders to finish second and returned
$12.80 and $8.80. Expected Flirt closed well for third and had a payoff of
$4.40.
