Son Of Mariah Runs Competition Off Their Feet

JSR Stables and Phil Harris’ Son of Mariah gained control early and drew off impressively to victory in the featured race at Beulah Park on Saturday. Eleven claimers clashed as Son of Mariah dueled with Rolen to Jasper thorough the opening furlong. Moving around the turn Son of Mariah shrugged of the challenger and proceeded to pull away from the pack. Winning by 2 ¾ lengths, Son of Mariah ran the 5 ½ furlongs over the fast track in 1:03 4/5.

Ridden by Ivan Gonzalez for trainer Jake Radosevich, one of three wins for the team of Gonzalez and Radosevich, Son of Mariah paid $8.40, $5.20 and $4.20. Hephzi Bah closed strongly for second and returned $12.00 and $5.00. Bright Village finished third and had a show payoff of $3.40.

Kipper Kate Skates To Upset Victory At Beulah

Elaine Gross’ Kipper Kate battled for the early lead before prevailing in the Friday feature. Seven allowance runners squared off as Kipper Kate and She’llgoinaminute clashed on the front end. Dashing around the turn Kipper Kate began to slowly edge away. Winning by 3-3/4-length, Kipper Kate covered the 5 ½ furlongs on the fast track in 1:04.

Ridden by Edgar Paucar for trainer Reid Gross, Kipper Kate returned $25.00, $10.60 and $8.60. She’llgoinaminute finished second and paid $11.20 and $9.20. Brenda From Dixie closed well for third and returned her backers $7.40.

Another Story Captivates Audience With Feature Race Performance

Tim Disney’s Another Story settled just behind the pacesetters before surging to the upset victory at Beulah Park on Thursday. Eleven claimers battled as Shamrock Fibber, Hapsirishpub and McFarland contested the early lead. With less than 100 yards to run, Another Story forged to the front to win by a nose. The running time for five and one half furlongs over the fast track was 1:04 1/5.

Ridden by Paul Melancon for trainer Ken Morgan, Another Story paid $44.20, $18.60 and $10.20. McFarland finished second and returned $8.80 and $6.60. Shamrock Fibber faded to third and paid his backers $8.60.

Sting Me Creates Buzz After Feature Race Victory

Elaine Gross’ Sting Me stung the competition with an impressive victory in the Wednesday feature at Beulah Park. Nine Ohio bred allowance runners dueled as Sting Me darted away at the start and drew away to a comfortable four length win. Traveling over a fast track, Sting Me covered the six furlongs in a swift 1:10 1/5.

Ridden by Jorge Collazo, Jr. for trainer Reid Gross, Sting Me paid $5.00, $4.40 and $3.00. Kais Reward closed strongly for second and returned $8.80 and $5.60. Jordan’s Party stalked the pace before fading to third and returned his backers $5.00.

Pal’s Pro Takes Short Way Home
in Final Leg of Sprint Series
December 6, 2005

Jerry Smith’s Pal’s Pro used the inside post position to his advantage in winning the featured race at Beulah Park on Tuesday. Ten top-class claimers battled as Pal’s Pro took the early lead pressured intently by Five Cousins. Moving through the home stretch Pal’s Pro edged away from Five Cousins to win by a neck. The running time for the 4 ½ furlongs over the fast track was 51 2/5, 3/5 of a second off of the track record.

The sprint series is a set of four races run at Beulah for claiming horse. Each race shortens in distance from six to four and one half furlongs. This was the fourth and final leg of the series.

Ridden by Jorge Collazo, Jr. for trainer Glenn Kopp, Pal’s Pro paid $13.40, $7.00 and $3.60. City Rapids closed well for second and returned $7.00 and $5.40. Twilight Hunter faded to third and paid his backers $5.80.
