All Time Five Day Mutuel Record Set At Beulah Park

With the 2005 season only a month old, Beulah Park is bucking the trend and
is off to a blistering start with large increases on its live racing.
The all time five day weekly
wagering record for Beulah Park live racing was set the week of Friday
January 28 through Wednesday February 2. A total of $7,446,076 was wagered
for the five day period. The daily average was $1,493,615.
"We are very happy with
Beulah Park s live racing business trends," said Mike Weiss, Beulah Park
vice president and general manager. "We have worked very hard on presenting
competitive, full field programs for horseplayers to wager on. The numbers
reflect the product is being well received."
In addition to new all
time weekly mark, Beulah Park is showing a resounding 37.3% increase on the
its live product since opening it s winter stand January 6.
Through the first 16 days
of the meet, the average Beulah Park daily live mutuel handle is $1,375,302
versus $1,001,468 for the same comparable dates a year ago.
The biggest day of the
year so far was January 31 when $2,204,396 was poured through the mutuel
machines.
Beulah Park races live
every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a first post of
1:15 p.m. Racing continues through Saturday May 7.
